Here at Digg, we try our best to cover the most important and confounding memes that come across the timeline. But the web is littered with tons of great memes that never quite hit the mainstream and instead just bounce around the weird corners of Twitter or Reddit. Enter our recurring feature, Memes, Ranked.

This week, we've got a '90s Europop revival, people with silly little jobs and Einstein in a flirty sandal.

4. Albert Einstein

The Meme

It is the summertime. Summertime is for movies; movies like "Oppenheimer," which features Albert Einstein. And with the mash-up madness of "Barbie" and "Barbenheimer" comes the next, natural evolution of those memes. This photo of Einstein:

Time for some discourse on all things fashion, physics, relativity, morals, ethics, thermonuclear science and memes.

3. 'My job is just...'

The Meme

Box office hit "Barbie" was sparking memes long before it even reached theaters, but now that everyone’s seen it, people are making jokes based on Ken’s claim early on in the film that his job is "just beach."

2. 'Planet of the Bass'

The Meme

Kyle Gordon and his partner in crime, Ms. Biljana Electronica, recently dropped a masterful parody of '90s Europop called "Planet of the Bass." There’s no denying the concept and execution are near flawless, even if you want to be a hater, as Gordon and his partner dance their hearts out in New York City. This one will go down as an all-timer, and everyone was quick to extend its cultural footprint with jokes and memes.

1. Mr Chedda

The Meme

This dapper little mouse in a suit, whom you’ve no doubt seen doing the rounds on Twitter recently, is called Mr Chedda. He is — sadly — not real, but AI-generated, and first cropped up on the app way back in 2022.

Mr Chedda made his comeback in late July, via a tweet in which he appears to be taking a group of young ladies to the Cheesecake Factory for a “Gouda time.” Since then, people have been using Mr Chedda’s likeness for all manner of humorous tweets.

And if you're hungry for more memes, here's the last edition of "The Week's Best Memes," where we had jokes about Twitter's shoddy new logo, reactions to Florence Pugh's CGI clothing and suggestions for the cure to male loneliness.
